Two sisters and a brother - oh my

Jessica's oldest sister Kristin (the one on the left in the photo) is presently studying Computer Engineering at Portland State University. In many ways she takes after her dad and found that she had this underlying desire when she was quite young that she wanting to get into how things work. She had dismantled mom's vacuum cleaner ... I guess to see what made it tick. She not all 'technical' and this is perhaps the girl coming out as she is our ballet dancer, rock climber, graphic artist / multimedia guru and continues her equestrian 'hobby' by both riding / showing and training both horses and riders.

Melissa (on the right) is attending Multnomah Bible College and is studying Biblical Studies and Youth Ministry. Jessica can expect to learn surfing, snowboarding or wake boarding from her as she really knows how to get out there and seize the weekend. She is very passionate about all she does and has a huge heart for others. She is so much like her mother other than the
'perfectionist' that came from her dad. World traveling has been something she enjoys greatly and has visited many parts of the world already.

Then there is her bro James.

He enjoys just about anything 'high tech' and spends much of his spare time keeping up with the latest and greatest news in the technology industry. 'Technical' discussions are popular with his dad and sister at the dinner table or wherever. He is still in high school but has been taking computer science classes at the community college. Engineering is probably in his future but there are no commitments made yet. He enjoys riding quads, or driving go-karts and is looking forward to his second year of auto racing.

With sisters and a brother like these Jessica has many options to satisfy whatever might interest her. And of course we do expect that she will find a way to add other facets to our family.

Finally getting things started

Well I guess it's about time that we get this blog going. Seems like we have been waiting forever since we had made the application to AWAA.

There have been so many before us whose blogs have blessed us so much even though they make our hearts ache even more to have this journey reach the next major milestone of having Jessica in our arms and back home. So this blog is for her (someday) and you to follow along in these exciting changes to our lives.

We already have three wonderful children, two girls and a boy. The northwest has been home for us most of our lives and love it out here. We'll include more information about us as we blog along.
