Spilsh Splash - Oh it's so much fun.

Hopefully we have on the boots and because she will find the biggest and best puddles. This has got to be one of Jessni's most favorite things to do.
She just loves the water. And a puddle offers so much pleasure.
Even if she has her Sunday dress on she will make a beeline for the closest puddle, so be better be ready to catch her.
She and mom just got through some swimming lessons, and will start another series again. It's going to be very important for this little one to learn to swim well.

What to play a game?

What a Competitor!
She really loves to get her hands on the controller.
And she doesn't want to play along she insists that you have a controller first and then you need to be ready for match play because she's putting it all on the line.
Guess this is what you should expect when you have a house full of older kids.

Celebrating ONE YEAR since 'Got Ya' Day!

It seems it was so long ago and certainly much more than a year. On the other hand time has gone by so quickly.
Jessni is growing so fast. Each day brings something new. Some new word, expression or skill has she develops more and more.
James stated it well when he was being interviewed for the 1 yr post placement. She is very much a Morris.

Just Like My Daddy.

Last weekend while cleaning carpets a hose in the carpet machine burst so I broke out the tools so I could fix it. Soon I was looking for a camera so I could capture the moment.
As I blogged before she wants do most everything that the rest of us does.
She also seems to have a nature curiosity of how thing work, this is where some of the new similarities to dad show up. I don't know why I continue to be amazed when we find more and more ways that she has in common with us, since God's plan for her has always been to be our little girl. It's just so cool to see all the evidence of His master plan for her and us.

First Easter Egg Hunt.

After watching the older kids run and collect eggs it was the little ones turn, and she knew what to do. Is is very quick to learn new things by observation and listening. She will mimic or repeat just about anything... unless of course you want her too.

While the eggs were not difficult to discover, it was funny to watch her run right by an egg to get the one she had discovered on the other side of the yard once she had locked on to getting that one.

As you can tell from the picture, it was a cold wintry day at grandma and papa's house in Washington. Thankfully we got a break in the weather to get the egg hunts in.

Why do kids want to "climb" the slide?

... I had no idea how controversial the topic is until I did a Google to see if there was an acceptable theory to this "ponderable".
Now you are probably commenting to yourself that I must have way too much time on my hands to even give this consideration.
So I must respond to that first. As I have 3 other children that are now grown and I didn't spend as much time then wondering at such a young age of what they will become, what they will like and dislike etc... Perhaps it's my attempt to slow down and enjoy these years as they fly by ever so quickly.
So back to the slide climbing. I'm not going to deter her from what is "fun" provided that the activity is "relatively" safe and not hampering others that want to use the slide the "normal" way. I think that the challenges of the side are valuable in developing both physical and mental skills. The parents that are so strict and insist that nobody use the slide in this manner need to chill out and not only let their kids be kids but find ways to help the kids be kids.

A Hawaiian Break from Winter!

What a joy it is to have warm weather again. Of course it wasn't to be found without a little traveling.
As you can see in the picture the little cutie is very happy with the warmer temps and the ability to be outside and on the run. She is just taking a break from running up and down the paths in at a coffee plantation on the south side of Kauai.
I was tired of missing Jessni's many smiles and many expression, we got a better camera that was fast enough to get that shot before she knew that a camera was there. Now, after so many pictures from playing with the new camera she has gotten over being so camera shy.
She is growing up so fast, it's hard to believe that we are about 1 week away from the anniversary of the first pictures as part of the referral. Not sure what we'll do to celebrate the date but it was a special point in time for us.
Paper chasing is well underway for little sister. The goal is to submit the paperwork as early as possible. One thing that Jessni reminds us is that we are not getting any younger as she is a girl on the go.
